Steak and seafood restaurants are conveniently located all over Kauai, including Princeville. There is usually a "fresh catch of the day" which is caught by local fishermen. Pizza and hamburger restaurants are also available, with popular "fast food" places located primarily in Kapaa and Lihue.
A luau is a Hawaiian meal in a party atmosphere, usually complimented by Polynesian dancers for entertainment. If you've never attended a luau before, we highly recommend any of the various luaus available on Kauai.
Grocery stores are readily available on Kauai. Foodland is located in the Princeville Center. Both Safeway and Foodland can be found in Kapaa, mid-way between the Lihue Airport and the North Shore.
