Kilauea, Kauai, is a friendly historical community with its roots in the sugar plantation days.  Kilauea Point on Kauai is the northernmost point in the Hawaiian Islands.

The Kilauea Lighthouse was constructed in 1913 and was in service until 1976.   Its light beam once reached 90 miles out to sea. The lens is the largest of its type ever made. The Kilauea Lighthouse is now open to visitors daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (except Holidays).

Surrounding the Kilauea Lighthouse is the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, home to an array of protected sea birds.

Around Kilauea, Kauai, you will find a nice selection of fun beaches such as Kalihiwai Beach, Secret Beach and Anini Beach.
